About Nevada People Search

Nevada does not keep one master people index. Deeds, assessments, marriages, court cases, election files, certificates, and old directories sit with different state and county keepers. We created Nevada People Search to make the correct portal, office, or research counter easier to identify before a request begins.

Why This Site Exists

Nevada's 16 counties and independent Carson City maintain separate record systems. County recorders keep deeds and liens, assessors tie owners to parcels, and local trial courts control their own files. The state adds appellate cases, business filings, prison data, vital records, and archives. Libraries and universities preserve another layer of directories and historical collections. Nevada People Search brings those official routes, access limits, and county choices into one reference, with local pages for the covered Nevada communities.

What Is Available Here

  • Pages by record type: public records, voter registration records, and people directories
  • Local sites by place: the city and county directory links to a local people search site for every covered community in Nevada
  • Records offices: state vital records, state archives, secretary of state, county recorders, court clerks, assessors, elections offices
  • Search walkthroughs: how to run a court name search, how to trace a property owner, how to use the library's directory collections
  • Access rules: what Nevada law makes public, what remains restricted, and how to request an existing record that is not online

Limits of Our Role

Nevada People Search is a privately run reference site. It is not connected with a Nevada agency, local government, court, or records keeper. That means we cannot perform the custodian's work:

  • We cannot pull, certify, or change any record on your behalf
  • We cannot confirm whether a specific person lives in Nevada
  • We cannot remove information from government records or third-party databases
  • We cannot give legal advice or tell you how a record applies to your situation
  • We cannot promise that every portal, fee, or office procedure is current at all times

Only the official custodian can confirm, certify, amend, or restrict its record. Material reached through this reference cannot be used for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or other FCRA-regulated decisions.
